Reserve your seats for the sumo show ↗The challenge in short
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Is it compulsory? | No, it is optional |
| Are spots limited? | Yes, per show |
| Who chooses? | A lottery, if there are too many volunteers |
| Who is the opponent? | A sumo wrestler at the club |
The idea
After the match, guests get the chance to step into the ring and take on one of the club's wrestlers. The club bills it as a hands-on moment.
It is optional
No one is made to go in. If you would rather watch with a plate in front of you, that is part of the show too.
Places are limited
The number of challengers is limited at each show. The club does not promise a turn to every volunteer.
The lottery
When more guests volunteer than there are spots, participants are selected by lottery, so a seat type does not decide who gets a go.
Children
The show is for adults and children, and the club opens the challenge to guests in general, with the lottery applying to everyone.
Filming your turn
Photos and videos are welcome during the show, so a friend can film you. Live-streaming it, or posting the whole show online, is not allowed.
